Overview

A major Australian security and AV distributor required a dedicated commercial-grade security touchscreen capable of running multiple security, automation, and multimedia applications on a single device.

The platform needed to operate via Power over Ethernet (PoE), support remote updates, and allow installers to configure the interface for specific products across the distributor’s extensive range of security and AV systems.

Customer Challenge

Customer are a large security and AV distributor with a footprint throughout Australia. They sell many leading brands of products that are used for Security, Multimedia, Home Theatre, IT, Intercoms, Meeting Room Booking, CCTV etc. They were getting feedback that more homes and businesses were using screens for both single purpose and multi purpose applications over using a cell phone. Reasons included:
