ISE 2026 Barcelona: Insights from the Show Floor
We’re pleased to share a snapshot from Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2026, held in Barcelona this February, where our team member Thomas attended the show to connect with the wider AV, security, smart technology, and digital signage ecosystem.
ISE continues to be one of the most influential global events for system integration, bringing together manufacturers, technology partners, and integrators from across the world, including those operating in the rapidly evolving digital signage sector. Being on the ground provided a valuable opportunity to observe how the industry is evolving and where conversations are heading.

One of the strongest themes across the show was the growing focus on integrated platforms rather than standalone products. Discussions throughout the exhibition highlighted the importance of long-term reliability, system interoperability, and lifecycle support, all areas that are becoming increasingly critical as connected devices – particularly in security, smart buildings, and digital signage deployments, are expected to operate reliably for many years in the field.
Display technology remained a major highlight, with large-format and embedded displays showcased across a wide range of applications, including interactive digital signage environments. The emphasis, however, has shifted beyond specifications alone, with increased attention on energy efficiency, manageability, and how display hardware fits into broader system architectures.
AI also featured prominently at ISE 2026, but with a noticeable move toward practical, real-world use cases. Rather than conceptual demonstrations, many exhibitors focused on how AI can support automation, monitoring, and operational efficiency when paired with robust hardware and controlled software environments.
Another key takeaway was the importance of security and firmware management. Conversations around secure update paths, long-term patching, and system governance reflected a broader industry understanding that security must be designed in from the start and maintained throughout a product’s lifecycle.
Attending ISE provided valuable insight into how the AV and smart systems industries continue to mature, with increasing alignment around reliability, longevity, and thoughtful system design. These on-the-ground perspectives help inform how we think about technology platforms that are built not just to launch, but to last.
We look forward to continuing these conversations and applying these insights as we work alongside our OEM partners globally. Stay tuned for more updates from the team.
